Three different questions
Does a document exist? Does it apply to this exact variant and finished construction? Does it provide comparable environmental performance for your stated service? Keep those answers separate.
Evidence coverage
Any displayed coverage indicator counts populated and attributable information: exact subject, source document, method, unit/boundary, version/validity and review state. An unknown field is missing evidence, not evidence that a product performs badly. A certificate link does not verify the entire supplier or every product.
Carbon comparisons
Use matched declared units and system boundaries. A kg CO₂e per kg result cannot silently become a result per square metre. Keep product versions, manufacturing geography, allocation assumptions and any material/assembly changes in the record. A1–A3 production indicators do not establish complete event emissions or a whole-life advantage.
Fire-test records
Keep the actual test standard, classification, specimen/construction, mounting, issuer, date and report identifier. A material-family name or supplier badge does not establish the fire performance of a different printed or installed assembly. Obtain the required confirmation for the actual venue and use.
The programme studio
The studio keeps material, transport, reuse, refresh and event activity assumptions distinct. It displays known subtotals and gaps. Complete results remain unknown when required factors or quantities are missing. Targets cannot make an incomplete calculation complete.
What a supplier dossier establishes
A dossier brings discovery and documents into view. It is not an endorsement, network membership, license, current receiver acceptance or independently audited whole-company footprint. Supplier comparisons should use the same scope and current evidence.
