Work through the decision
Identify the application revision, requested use, reviewer competence and relevant interests. Record the examined evidence and reasoned outcome against the stated criteria. Keep pending questions, conditions, refusal, appeal and accepted scope distinguishable. A payment, attractive badge or finished application form cannot replace the actual decision authority.
A fictional worked example
A fictional reviewer accepts only a narrower project use after finding a missing assembly document. The learner records the limited permission and remaining evidence task. The original broader request is preserved as a request rather than falsely reported as granted.
Evidence and authority limit
An educational or local review record does not authenticate a binding licence or independent certification.
Put it into practice
Write a fictional decision record showing requested scope, examined evidence and a narrower outcome.
Keep this record: An attributable criteria decision, conditions, term and appeal route.
- Decision scope differs clearly from the request.
- Reviewer role and conflicts are recorded.
- Actual permission is not inferred from a completed form.
