Lesson 01
Define equivalent service
Set the comparison unit and boundary.
Define the same area, quality, duration and deployments for both routes. Decide which stages belong in the model.
Keep a record of exclusions. A production-only material figure cannot directly stand for a complete delivered campaign.
Read the practical guidePractice task: Write a functional outcome and boundary for two display routes.
Lesson 02
Inventory activity and factors
Distinguish measured inputs from assumptions.
Collect quantities, units, geography and dates. Record source identifiers and method versions with each factor.
Government company-reporting factors may fit transport or energy activity; they do not invent a manufacturing footprint for a branded substrate.
Read the practical guidePractice task: List known inputs and a request for each missing input.
Lesson 03
Test sensitivity
Discover what controls the crossover.
Explore shorter service life, extra transport, replacement graphics and repair. State which assumptions change.
A conditional crossover is a scenario result, not a guarantee that future deployments will happen or savings will be achieved.
Read the practical guidePractice task: Change one uncertain input in a simple reuse scenario and explain the effect.
Lesson 04
Maintain actual evidence
Separate plans from confirmed activity.
Record observed deployments, replacements and destinations independently from the model.
Keep the scenario version used for the original decision and revise future guidance when better data arrive.
Read the practical guidePractice task: Create separate planned, confirmed-use and treatment-confirmed fields for a project.
