Work through the decision
Identify whether the person contributes as buyer, designer, custodian, provider, reviewer, educator or another specific role. Separate a public profile description from private organisation membership and object authority. Roles should support the actual task without granting unrelated quotes, financial fields or files. Brand choice and sponsor status cannot create access.
A fictional worked example
A fictional material contributor needs to update approved technical records but has no reason to read a buyer’s private budget. The learner chooses the contributor scope and leaves finance permissions absent rather than applying an all-purpose member role.
Evidence and authority limit
Selecting a role in a worksheet does not grant shared-engine permissions or verify professional competence.
Put it into practice
Define two role/task combinations and the private records each must not access.
Keep this record: A scoped participation and permission request for accountable review.
- Roles map to actual tasks.
- Public profile and private authority are distinct.
- Access is limited to necessary records.
