LEAF REVIEW DESIGN / PUBLIC CRITERIA · SCOPED DECISIONS
Designing a supplier review programme means making the checks, scope and limitations visible to the buyer. Prepare the evidence pack now. No Leaf supplier verification badges have been issued by this release.
A CHECKED RECORD / A CLEAR LIMIT
We propose specific labels such as “Identity checked”, “Quality controls reviewed”, “Environmental controls reviewed” and “Product documents reviewed”. Each issued label would open its actual review record. A generic tick must not imply every product is safe, low-carbon or certified.
No accreditation, certification or reviewed supplier status is conferred.
01 / ENTITY
Establish the legal company, trading name, relevant site and representative authority. A scraped source entry is a reference listing, not a claimed member account.
02 / CERTIFICATE
Record exact standard edition, certified holder, covered sites, certification body, scope, registration reference and validity. Check the current issuer/register record. Leaf does not issue ISO certificates or reuse accreditation logos.
03 / CONTROLS
A supplier without ISO certification can prepare documented procedures, operational records and outcomes. Assess those controls against published Leaf criteria; do not call them ISO-certified or equivalent.
04 / PRODUCT
Connect the exact material, printed assembly, finish, fixing, site and revision to relevant test or carbon evidence. Company management-system certification never automatically verifies every product.
05 / REVIEW
A competent authorised reviewer records criteria version, sampled records, findings, limitations, conflicts, decision date and next review. Automated checks help identify gaps; they do not approve supplier quality.
06 / PUBLIC RECORD
A future issued badge links to a dated decision covering the exact entity/site/product/process. It discloses limitations, expiry and live status. Changed scope, withdrawal, complaints and missed follow-up reopen or suspend it.
CERTIFICATION ROUTE
Management-system certificates support only the stated organisation/site/activity scope. Exact edition and current registration status matter. Product conformity and finished-assembly test results need separate evidence.
ISO explains certification ↗ · UKAS certificate checking ↗DOCUMENTED CONTROLS ROUTE
Prepare controlled procedures and sample records: job inspection and release, batch/material traceability, equipment calibration, nonconformity, corrective action, complaints, risk, environmental impacts and improvement follow-up. No ISO status is inferred from these records.
Build your control record pack ↗Exact holder and sites · product/process scope · criteria version · evidence versions · reviewer competence and conflicts · sampled period and records · open findings · corrective-action deadlines · decision date · expiry/review date · suspended/withdrawn status · buyer-readable limitations · complaints and appeal routes.
Promotional membership pays for presentation and marketing delivery. It cannot grant a badge or change a failed review. Any future paid human assessment must have a separately scoped agreement, published criteria and findings that remain independent of its fee.
Buyer feedback must be attributed to an actual transaction where relevant. A complaint is a review trigger, not an automatic finding of misconduct. Serious or unresolved changes can suspend a scoped status. Suppliers need a recorded response and an appeal decided by someone independent of the original decision.
